Project Manager

RefTech Project Managers take ownership for projects from start to finish and are responsible for making sure we keep to the plan. More importantly than that, you will be key to ensuring both our blue chip, global clients and internal teams enjoy a quality RefTech Experience. One that is organised, proactive and communicative. Project Managers are the people who make things happen and remove road blocks for our Clients and Staff so they can complete the job they’re supposed to. Ultimately, ensuring a great working environment and happy teams, suitable for the project in hand.

(Midlands based with some UK Travel)

Experience

  • Experience in previous project coordination / management role would be beneficial. Alternatively exposure or experience in similar roles or on project teams where you've had to demonstrate the above behavioural competencies to a high level
  • Excellent language skills – previous experience in project documentation, proposal, quote and bid writing would be beneficial with very strong written English
  • Experienced in multi-tasking and prioritising workload and resources
  • Experience in a client facing role – managing expectations of key clients and other stakeholders
  • Experience in being able to break bad news to high profile project stakeholders when things (occasionally) don't go to plan
  • Drive to achieve overall project objectives, escalating information and issues as required
  • Ideally some knowledge and experience in the world of IT, audio-visual and/or other Smart technologies

  • Full UK Driving License and willingness to travel
  • Based in Tamworth but unfazed by visiting clients across the country – this will be occasional and with colleagues
  • Flexibility as there may be the opportunity to go on site to an event, this may involve staying one or more night

Sales Account Manager

Reference Technology Ltd - Tamworth

Reference Technology is an acknowledged technological leader in the areas of badging and Registration systems for exhibitions, conferences and events. Due to continued success and growth we are now looking for an experienced sales account manager to strengthen our existing sales team.

This is an exciting role with long term prospects for the right individual. To be successful you will be a well organised person with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and apply great attention to detail to your work. Based in a very relaxed but professional environment, you will be dealing daily with customers and sales administration responsibilities. The position is predominantly office based, visiting clients as and when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for finding and developing new business as well as handling and growing existing business
  • Using your own initiative to target new companies and proactively calling businesses
  • Maximising the value of existing business accounts
  • Following up cold and warm leads
  • Communicating with customers via telephone and email regarding enquiries and orders
  • Closing the sale over the phone
  • Interacting with influential decision makers and building relationships with them
  • Providing customers with a timely, accurate and professional service
  • Delivering monthly targets and company KPI’s along with managing own sales pipeline
  • General sales administration including maintaining sales database and processing orders
  • Preparing all quotes as required by the client, in a timely manner
  • Overcoming sales objections
  • Presenting proposals along with associated costs face to face
  • Liaising with in-house production, and graphic departments
  • Attending networking events and exhibitions as and when necessary

Knowledge and Experience Requirements:

As an experienced sales account manager, you will be able to demonstrate your:

  • Previous sales experience, minimum 1 year
  • Proven track record and results orientated drive
  • Outbound calling / cold calling experience
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships early
  • Clear concise communication & customer focussed skills demonstrating an ability to adjust behaviour to handle different clients
  • Efficiency and organisational ability to multi task and prioritise
  • Commitment to deliver maximum service quality
  • Flexibility and reliability
  • Calmness under pressure and ability to work to tight deadlines, sometimes with short lead times

Skill Requirements:

  • GCSE A* - C grade English Language and/or proven excellent English language skills
  • Competent ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook (both for emailing along with scheduling and planning)
  • Driving License is desirable as you will be required to visit new and existing clients

You are target driven, numerate, analytical and have a good understanding of IT processes including Microsoft Office programmes and an awareness of CRM systems. General interest or experience in selling IT based solutions would be an advantage in this role.

A generous salary and benefits package with health insurance, pension contributions and OTE is available for the right candidate.

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 9.00 am to 5.30pm, Friday 9.00 to 5.00pm (1-hour lunch)
Holidays: 20 days per annum plus bank holidays, plus 2 duvet days
